illustrate
The DS64BR401 is a bidirectional four-lane signal conditioning trunk for 6.0/3.0/1.5 Gbps SATA/SAS and other high-speed bus applications with data rates up to 6.4 Gbps. The device performs receive equalization and transmit de-weighting of its 8 channels to compensate for the loss of channels, allowing maximum flexibility in the physical location within a system. The receiver's continuous-time linear equalizer (CTLE) provides a lift of up to 3 GHz to 33 dB and is open to the input of the eye that is completely closed due to interconnect media caused by intersymbol interference (ISI). The transmitter has a programmable output deemphasis driver and allows selected amplitude voltage levels from MVP-P 600 to 1200 MVP-P to suit a variety of application scenarios. This low power differential signaling (LPDS) output driver is an effective implementation of the power that maintains compatibility with AC-coupled CML receivers. Programmable settings can be applied via pin settings or SMBus interface.
To achieve a seamless upgrade to a 6.0 Gbps data transfer rate from SAS/SATA 3.0 Gbps without compromising the body, the DS64BR401 automatically detects the input speed of the data and selects the optimal de-emphasis pulse width. The device detects idle and aggressive signals of the out-of-band (OOB) SAS/SATA specification and passes through with the lowest signal distortion.
A typical power consumption of 200 mW/channel (100 mW/channel) at 6.4 Gbps control, shutting down unused channels, the DS64BR401 is part of the PowerWise family of state-of-the-art energy-efficient devices.
