The DS75176B is a high-speed differential tri-state bus/line transceiver designed to meet the requirements of extended common-mode range, EIA standard RS485 (+12 V to -® 7 V) for multipoint data transmission. In addition, it comes with RS-422 compatibility.

The output driver and receive function of the driver output tristate function over the entire common-mode range of +12 V to -7 V. In the event of bus contention or failure, excessive power consumption within the device is handled to thermally shut down the circuit, putting the driver into a high-impedance state with the driver output.

DC specifications are guaranteed at temperatures from 0 to 70°C and supply voltage ranges from 4.75V to 5.25V.
