The DS90C3201 is a 3.3V single/dual flat panel display-Link 10-bit color transmitter designed for use in LCD TV, LCD monitor, digital TV, flat screen TV and plasma display. The interface between the DS90C3201 is designed between digital video processors and display devices using a low-power, low-EMI LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) interface. The DS90C3201 converts 70 LVCMOS/LVTTL data bit streams into ten LVDS data. The transmitter can program the clock for rising and falling edge clocks or data. Optional two-wire serial programming enables fine-tuning of development and production environments. Transmitted at a clock frequency of 135 MHz, 70-bit LVCMOS/LVTTL data transmission is transmitted with an efficiency of 945 Mbps per LVDS channel. With a clock of 135 MHz, the data throughput is 9.45 Gbit/s (945Mbytes/sec). This enables dual 10-bit LVDS transmitters that support HDTV resolution.
