The DS90LV017A is optimized for high data rate and low power applications with a single LVDS driver. The DS90LV017A is a current-mode driver that allows power consumption to be maintained even at high frequencies and low frequencies. In addition, short-circuit currents are minimized. The device is designed to support redundant data rates at 600Mbps (300MHz) utilizing Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) technology.

The device is packaged in a small 8-pin form factor. The DS90LV017A has a flow through, which is convenient for PCB layout design. The differential driver output provides low EMI with a typical low output swing of 355 mV. The DS90LV017A can be paired with its companion line of receivers, DS90LV018A or with any activity of the country's LVDS receiver" to provide a high-speed point-to-point LVDS interface.
