The HFBR-0501 series includes transmitters, receivers, connectors, and fiber optic cables that can be easily designed, making them ideal for solving problems such as voltage isolation, insulation, EMI/RFI immunity, and data security. The optical link design is simplified with logically compatible receivers and full specifications for each component, and the key link optical and electrical parameters of the HFBR-0501 series can be guaranteed from 0°C to 70°C.
A wide range of package configurations and connector options provide design engineers with a variety of mechanisms to meet application requirements, and transmitter and receiver assemblies are designed for high-volume, low-cost assembly procedures such as auto-insertion and wave soldering.
The transmitter contains a 660nm LED, the receiver contains a monolith DC-coupled digital chip receiver with an open-collector Schottky output transistor, and the HFBR-25x1/2/4 receiver has a pull-up resistor inside the receiver chip and integrated shielding for higher local noise immunity.
Internal optics simplify optical calculations for common link applications by optimizing the use of 1mm diameter plastic fibers and the Versatile Link specification factoring into all connector interface losses.
