Duplex fiber consists of two simple fibers and a zipcord website joins. Except that the riser and plenary rated HCS (III) fiber optic cable are the same sheath material.

Polyethylene jackets for all plastic fiber optic cables meet UL VW-1 flame retardant specifications. PVC HCS(C) cable jackets are either rated by UL riser or UL rated pent.
