The plastic cable HFBR-R/EXXYYY series builds a single step refractive index fiber sheathed black polyethythene jacket. Duplex fibers are composed of two simple fibers with the Zipcord site added.

Except for attenuation specifications, standard attenuation and additional low-loss plastic fiber optic cables are the same.

The hard-clad quartz fiber optic cable HBR-H/VXXYYYYY series is a single-step exponential pure silicon HCS (tri) blue PVC sheathed optical fiber. Duplex fibers are composed of two simple fibers with the Zipcord site added. The riser and plenum-rated HCS (III) fiber optic cables are identical except for the sheath material.

Polyethylene jackets for all plastic fiber optic cables meet UL VW-1 flame retardant specifications. PVC HCS(C) cable jackets are UL riser rated or UL rated plenum.
