HMC1027BG

HMC1027 is an extremely low-power, high-performance, fully programmable asynchronous 13x13 crosspoint switch that operates at data rates up to 14.2 Gbps. HMC1027 consists of a programmable input equalizer, a 13x13 switch, and a deweighted programmable output driver. The 13x13 switch is completely non-blocking and supports routing any input to any output, any combination of outputs, or broadcasting to all outputs. Intersymbol interference (ISI) due to various transmission media and channel lengths HMC1027 to compensate for signal damage by reception equalization (EQ) and transmission deemphasis (DE) on all input and output channels. The input EQ can be bypassed for short-link bypasses, further reducing overall power consumption. The 13th channel is the same as the other 12 channels and can be used as the 13th channel or for signal injection and monitoring for debugging purposes during the prototype development phase.

All HMC1027 high-speed differential inputs and outputs use current-mode logic (CML) and are terminated to a 1.8 V or 2.5 V positive supply at 50 ohms on-chip and can be DC or AC coupled. HMC1027 inputs and outputs can be operated in differential or single-ended configurations. This low-power, high-performance, and feature-rich HMC1027 is available in a 169-pin, 14x14 mm BGA package with a 1 mm pin pitch. The device operates from a 2.5 V core supply, but the I/O can be powered from a 1.8 V supply, reducing power consumption to less than 100 mV per channel. HMC1027 shell temperature range is -40 °C to 85 °C.
