HMC706LC3C is an NRZ-RZ converter designed to support data transfer rates up to 13 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 13 GHz. When operating normally, RZ data is transmitted to the output at the right edge of the clock. Inverting the clock input supports negative edge triggering applications. All signals from the input HMC706LC3C are terminated to the on-chip Vcc at a 50 Ω and support AC or DC coupling.
The differential outputs of HMC706LC3C can be AC coupled or DC coupled. The output can be connected directly to a 50 Ω Vcc termination system, while DC blocking capacitors can be used if 50 Ω are terminated to a non-Vcc DC voltage. 50 Ω termination resistors are bypassed from Vcc to ground on the chip. HMC706LC3C operates from a single +3.3V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT ceramic package.
