HMC723LP3E is a D-type flip-flop designed to support data transfer rates up to 13 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 13 GHz. During normal operation, data is transmitted to the output terminal on the edge of the clock. By inverting the clock input, negative edge triggering applications can be achieved. HMC723LP3E also features an output level control pin VR, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization.
All input signals HMC723LP3E are connected to ground via the upper end of a 50-Ω resistor chip and support DC or AC coupling. The differential output of HMC723LP3E can be DC or AC coupled. The output can be directly connected to a 50 Ω grounded termination system. If a 50 Ω terminal is used to ungrounded DC voltage, a DC-isolated capacitor can be used. HMC723LP3E uses a -3.3V DC single power supply and uses a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT package.
