The HMC723LP3E is oneD-type trigger, designed to support data transfer rates of up to 13 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 13 GHz. During normal operation, data is transmitted to the output on the edge of the positive clock. Inverting the clock input enables negative edge triggering applications. The HMC723LP3E also has an output level control pin VR, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization.
All input signals of the HMC723LP3E are terminated to ground via a 50-Ω resistor on-chip and support DC or AC coupling. The differential outputs of the HMC723LP3E can be DC or AC-coupled. The output can be connected directly to a 50 Ω ground termination system, and DC blocking capacitors can be used if 50 Ω terminated to a non-ground DC voltage. The HMC723LP3E operates from a single -3.3V DC supply in a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT package.
