Der HMC724 ist ein 1:2 Fanoutbumper, die für Datenübertragungsraten von bis zu 14 Gbit/s und Taktfrequenzen von bis zu 14 GHz ausgelegt ist. Alle differentiellen Ein- und Ausgänge sind DC-gekoppelt und mit 50 Ω Widerständen an Masse auf dem Chip abgeschlossen. Die Ausgänge unterstützen den Single-Ended- oder Differential-Modus und sollten AC- oder DC-gekoppelt mit einem 50-Ω-Widerstand gegen Masse sein.

Alle differentiellen Eingänge des HMC724 sind CML und werden mit einer positiven Versorgung (GND) auf dem Chip mit 50 Ω Widerständen abgeschlossen und unterstützen DC- oder AC-Kopplung. Die differentielle CMI-Ausgangsquelle ist bis zu 50 Ω terminiert und kann auch AC- oder DC-gekoppelt sein. Die Ausgänge können direkt an ein massekonfektioniertes 50-Ω-System oder über CML-Logikeingangstreiber angeschlossen werden. Der HMC724 wird mit einer einzigen -3,3-V-Versorgung betrieben und ist in einem RoHS-konformen 3x3-mm-SMT-Gehäuse erhältlich.
