The HMC725 is an XOR/XNOR gate designed to support data rates up to 13 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 13 GHz. All signals from the HMC725 are terminated on-chip with a 50 Ω resistor and support AC or DC coupling. The differential outputs of HMC725LC3C can be AC coupled or DC coupled.
The output can be connected directly to a 50-Ω grounded termination system, while a DC-blocking capacitor can be used if the 50-Ω termination is used to a non-grounded DC voltage. The HMC725 operates from a single -3.3V DC supply with a power consumption of only 230 mW and is available in a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT ceramic package.
