HMC842LC4B is a 1:2 fan-out buffer that supports data transfer rates up to 45 Gbps. The device can also operate at clock signals up to 28 GHz. During normal operation, the input data (or clock) is transmitted to both output channels. HMC842LC4B differential input and output signals are terminated to on-chip ground at 50 Ω and can be coupled with AC or DC. The output can be directly connected to a 50-Ω grounded termination system, and if it is terminated to a non-grounded DC voltage via a 50-Ω, a DC-blocking capacitor should be used.
HMC842LC4B also integrates two independent output level control pins, VAC1 and VAC2, to provide loss compensation and signal level optimization for each output channel, respectively. HMC842LC4B operates from a single -3.3V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 4x4 mm SMT ceramic package.
