The HMC853LC3 is oneClass D triggers, supporting data transfer rates up to 28 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 28 GHz. During normal operation, data is transferred to the output at the positive edge of the clock. Inverting the clock input enables negative edge triggering applications.
All differential inputs of the HMC853LC3 are CML and terminated to the positive supply Vcc by 50 Ω on-chip, which can be AC or DC coupled. The differential CML output is terminated to 50 Ω and can also be AC or DC coupled. The output can be connected directly to a 50 Ω Vcc ground termination system, and DC blocking capacitors can be used if 50 Ω terminated to ground. The HMC853LC3 also integrates an output level control pin, VR, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization. The HMC853LC3 operates from a single 3.3 V supply and is available in a ROHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT package.
