HMC853LC3 is a Class D trigger that supports data transfer rates up to 28 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 28 GHz. During normal operation, data is transmitted to the output at the right edge of the clock. Inverting the clock input enables negative edge triggering applications.
All differential inputs HMC853LC3 are CML and terminated to a positive supply Vcc via an on-chip 50 Ω, which can be AC or DC coupled. The differential CML output source is terminated to 50 Ω and can also be AC or DC coupled. The output can be connected directly to a 50 Ω Vcc ground termination system, or a DC capacitor if 50 Ω is terminated to ground. HMC853LC3 also integrates an output level control pin VR that can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization. HMC853LC3 operates from a single 3.3 V supply and is available in a ROHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT package.
