description
The ISL1550 is a dual operational amplifier intended for use as a differential line driver. The ISL1550s' high bandwidth and low distortion performance enable VDSL2-enabled 8B, 17A and 30A modem applications. The device has the current drive capability required to push large voltage peaks of ±750 mA to push heavy loads. In Central Office (CO) applications, the driver achieves a typical missing band energy ratio of -66dBc in the upstream VDSL2 8B (US) band 1 and MBPRs-61dBc and -60dBc on VDSL2 17A US1 and US2 (MBPR) respectively (MBPR) ISL1550 has two bias current control pins (C0, C1) allowing 4 power settings (off, low, medium, high). VDSL modem DSP configuration line driver, power settings, according to the desired operating mode. The line driver operates an active mode supply of a nominal single +12 V or dual ±6V bias current between 15 mA and 32 mA, depending on its power setting. The ISL1550s gain setting sets RF and RG resistor values at the application level. The ISL1550 inrush current handling has been raised to allow ITU-T K.20 and GR1089 compliance with very few external surge protection circuits for thermally enhanced, lead-free RoHS compatible 16 LD QFN packages The ISL1550 is specified for operation over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
