description
ISL1550 is a dual op-amp intended to be used as a differential line driver. The ISL1550s high bandwidth and low distortion performance enable VDSL2 support for 8B, 17A, and 30A modem applications. The device has the current drive capability required to push high voltage peaks of high ±750 milliamps for heavy loads. In central office (CO) applications, the driver reaches a typical missing band energy ratio of -66dBc to VDSL2 8B (US) 1 band upstream and MBPRs-61dBc and -60dBc in VDSL2 17A US1 and US2 respectively (MBPR) ISL1550 with two bias current control pins (C0, C1) allowing 4 power settings (off, low, medium, high). VDSL modem DSP configuration line driver, power setting, according to the desired mode of operation. The line driver runs a nominal single +12 V or dual ±6V bias current supplied between 15mA and 32 mA in active mode, depending on its power setting. The ISL1550s gain settings set RF and RG resistance values at the application level configuration. ISL1550 inrush current handling has been improved to allow ITU-T K.20 and GR1089 compliance with minimal external surge protection circuitry in a thermally enhanced, lead-free RoHS compliant 16 LD QFN package ISL1550 is specified for operation in temperatures exceeding -40°C to +85°C.
