ISL23418 is a volatile, low-voltage, low-noise, low-power, SPI™ bus, 128-tap, single digital control potentiometer (DCP) that integrates the core of the DCP, a wiper switch, to control the logic of a monolithic CMOS integrated circuit. The combination of a digital control potentiometer resistor element and a CMOS switch is implemented. The tap position is controlled by the user via the SPI bus interface. The potentiometer has an associated volatile wiper registration (WR) that can be written and read directly to the user. The content of Westiron controls the position of the wipers. When powered on, ISL23418 wipers always start at medium scale (64-tap position). The low voltage, low power consumption, and small form factor ISL23418 make it ideal for using battery-powered devices.
