The ISL28617 is a high performance, differential input, differential output instrumentation amplifier designed for precision analog-to-digital applications. It operates from a supply voltage range of 8V (±4V) to 40V (±20V) and has a differential input voltage range up to ±34V. The output stage has rail-to-rail output drive capability, optimized for differential ADC driver applications. Its versatility and small packaging make it suitable for a wide range of general purpose applications. No additional features of other instrumentation amplifiers were found to enable a high level of DC accuracy with excellent AC performance. The gain of the ISL28617 can be programmed from 0.1 to 10,000 and R FB with two external resistors R. Gain accuracy is determined by R matching to neutralize R FB. The gain resistor Kelvin senses, eliminating gain errors due to PC tracking. During the input and output stages, there are separate power pins that enable the input signal to ride at high common-mode voltage levels to a low-voltage device, such as an A/D converter. It can be used as an ADC from the same supply, maintaining the maximum input dynamic range of the ADC and eliminating the rail-to-rail output stage of overloading the ADC input supply. The ISL28617 is available in a 24 LD TSSOP package and is guaranteed to operate at -40 °C to +125 °C.
