The ISL29029 is a comprehensive ambient and IR light-to-digital converter with a built-in IR LED driver and I2C interface (SMBus compatible). The device uses two independent ADCs to measure ambient light simultaneously and near parallel. Flexible interrupt scheduling is designed to utilize minimal microcontrollers. For data conversion from ambient light sensors (ALS), the ADC converts the photodiode current in each sample (100ms light sensitivity range up to 2000 lux). 50HZ/60HZ flicker noise caused by ADC's rejection of artificial light sources. For proximity sensor (PROX) data conversion, the built-in driver turns on the external infrared LED and the proximity sensor's ADC converts the infrared intensity to a digital reflection. This ADC rejects ambient infrared noise such as sunlight and has a 540μs conversion time. The ISL29029 provides a typical normal operating current of 138μA (110μA sensor and internal circuitry, external LED to 28μA) low-power operation of ALS and remote sensing of PROX current pulses of 220 mA net 100μS, repeated every 800 milliseconds (or down). , the ISL29029 uses hardware pins and software bits to indicate interrupt events. An ALS PROX interrupt is defined as a measurement, which is a set of windows outside. The user may also need both the ALS/PROX interrupt to occur once, before the active interrupt pin up to 16 times. The ISL29029 is designed to operate above -40°C over an ambient temperature range of 2.25V to 3.63V to +85°C. It is packaged in a clear, lead-free 8-lead ODFN package.
