Balanced communication through the ISL32457E, ISL32450E 3.3V to 5V power supply, fault protection, extended common-mode range differential transceiver. The RS-485 bus pins (driver output and receiver input) for overvoltage protection ± 60V with an ESD shock of ±15kV. These transceivers operate in environments where common-mode voltages as high as ±20V (exceeding RS-485 requirements) make this true
RS-485 Series 1, more strong in the market. The transmitter is RS-485 compliant with V CC ≥4.5V and CC = 3V receiver (RX) input to RS-485 regulations, even with V54Ω load providing a differential output voltage of 1 1.1V to provide a "complete fail-safe" design, thus guaranteeing logic high Rx output if Rx input floats, shorts or terminates, but no drive (idle) on the bus. The ISL32457E conversion function that can still maintain Rx input polarity switching (cable inversion function on ISL32457E) when receiving full fail-safe operation includes cables, reverse polarity of Rx and Tx bus cables, in the case of errors during installation, see page 2 Table 1 Main Features and Number of Equipment Configuration.
