Intersil's ISL32613E and ISL32614E± 16.5kV HBM ESD protection (7KV compliant with IEC61000 contact), 1.8V powered, single-differential communication transmitter. These drivers have a very low bus current (±40μA), so they propose a "1/8 unit load" bus. This will allow transmitters on more than 256 networks, without violating the RS-485 specification of 32 units of load and without the use of repeaters. The hot-swappable circuitry ensures that the Tx output is maintained in a high-impedance state while the power supply is stable. Both ICs utilize drivers with limited slew rates to reduce EMI and reflections from improperly terminated transmission lines or unfinished stubs in multipoint and multipoint applications. ISL32613E is the limit of the data transfer rate that rises to 128kbps, while the less restrictive ISL32614E is the useful data transfer rate to 256kbps.
