ISL62773 is fully compliant with AMD Fusion™SVI 2.0 and provides a complete solution for desktop microprocessors and graphics processors at the heart of power. ISL62773 controller supports two voltage regulators (VR) with three integrated gate drivers and two optional external drivers for maximum flexibility. Core VR can be configured to run in 3-, 2-, or single-phase, while Northbridge VR supports a 2-1 phase configuration. Representatives from the two villages shared communication with AMD's CPUs, achieving lower cost and smaller board footprint compared to dual-chip solutions and serial control buses. The PWM modulator is based on Intersil's robust ripple regulator (R3) technology ™. Compared to traditional modulators, the R3's modulator can automatically change the time of faster transient stabilization during load transients and improve the switching frequency for light load efficiency. ISL62773 has several other key features. The two outputs support single DCR temperature compensation or precise current-sense resistors, and the NTC thermistor DCR current sensing. The two outputs utilize remote voltage sensing, adjustable switching frequency, OC protection, and good power supply.
