ISL6726 is a highly functional, single-ended PWM controller for applications using an active clamp forward converter topology to an n- or p-channel active clamping configuration, asymmetric half-bridge topology, standard synchronous rectification topology. These are many features designed to simplify its use of current-mode PWM controllers. Among its many features, it is a precision oscillator, which can precisely control dead zone and maximum duty cycle, bidirectional synchronous 180° phase-shift interweaving applications, adjustable soft start and soft stop, low power shutdown mode, average brick wall overcurrent protection current limit. This advanced BiCMOS design features a FET driver with low start-up and running current, adjustable switching frequency above 1MHz, and very low transmission delay, fast response to overcurrent faults.
