ISL75051SRH is radiation-hardened with low voltage and high current, with a single-output LDO specified as a continuous output current up to 3.0A. These devices operate within an input voltage range of 2.2V to 6.0V and can provide adjustable resistor voltage divider settings with output voltages from 0.8V to 5.0V. Using this equipment, voltage drops as low as 65mV can be achieved.

The OCP pin allows for a short-circuit output current limiting threshold, which can be programmed via a grounding resistor from the OCP pin. OCP setting range is from 0.5A to a minimum of 8.5A. The resistor is set to a constant current threshold for output under fault conditions. Thermal shutdown prohibits the output device temperature if it exceeds the specified value. It then enters an ON/OFF cycle until the fault is removed. The ENABLE function allows the section to be placed in a low-current shutdown mode, typically about 1μA. When enabled, the device operates with a typical low-ground current of 11 mAh, operating with low quiescent power consumption.

The equipment has been optimized for rapid transient response and single-event effect. This reduces the SET range seen in output. No additional protection diodes or filters are required. The device's low 47μF tantalum capacitance is stable and provides excellent supervision from no-load to full-load. Programmable soft start allows users to program the value of the decoupling capacitor on the BYP pin for the inrush current.
