ISL76671 is a low-cost, photodiode array that combines an op-voltage silicon optical sensor, a nonlinear current amplifier, and a micro-power op-amp on a monolithic IC. The photodiode array has a peak sensitivity similar to the human eye at 550nm and a wavelength range spanning 400nm to 600nm, rejecting UV and infrared light. The input brightness ranges from 0.01 lux to 100 lux. Enhance the integrated nonlinear current amplifier and convert it into a photodiode signal in square root output format, extending dynamic range while maintaining excellent sensitivity in dimly lit conditions. Because of this, part is ideal for measuring incident daylight, ambient displays or heavy use of smoke baffles behind mirrors. The device consumes minimal power consumption. A dark current compensation circuit minimizes the effects of leakage current with temperature in the absence of light, improving light sensitivity at low illumination levels. The output gain has been optimized and the relatively low requirement is the recommended automotive EMI limit internal and external bias resistors. The built-in output voltage at 1μA gives the op amp ISL76671 the advantage of driving heavier loads and can directly drive the ADC. ISL76671 is housed in an ultra-small 2mmx2.1mm ODFN plastic surface-mount package. Operation is rated from -40°C to +105°C at level 2 per AECQ100.
