ISL78310 is a low dropout voltage, high current, single output LDO 1A output current specification. This part drops to 2.2V and up to 6V input voltage. Fixed and external resistors are available to regulate output voltages from 0.8V to 5V. Custom voltage selection is available upon request for applications where the inrush current is set to be less than the current limit, or applications require on-time control, external capacitors can be placed in soft maximum control to start the pin. A power supply independent enable signal allows a portion to enter low quiescent current shutdown mode. Sub-micron CMOS process for this series to provide the best analog performance and overall value. This CMOS LDO consumption is significantly lower than that of the static (grounded terminal) current bipolar low-drop regulator, translating into a more efficient load function package small footprint.
