ISL8013A is a high-efficiency, monolithic synchronous step-down DC/DC converter that provides up to 3A of continuous output current from 2.8V to 5.5V input supply. It uses a current control architecture that provides fast transient response and superior loop stability at high frequencies with very low duty cycles. A pair of low-resistance P-channel and N-channel internal MOSFETs are integrated on the ISL8013A to maximize efficiency and reduce the number of external components. 100% duty cycle operation allows for a voltage drop of less than 300mV of 3A output current. Pulse width modulation (PWM) switching frequencies up to 1MHz allow for the use of small external components and SYNC inputs to allow multiple ICs to be phase-synchronized to reduce ripple and eliminate beats ISL8013A and can be configured to intermittent or force continuous operation to light load.
