description

The ISL97686 is a PWM-controlled LED driver that supports 4 channels of LED current, display and LCD TV backlight applications. It is capable of pushing each channel from 1 9V to 32V input power rated up to 75V absolute maximum current source, 160 mA. The ISL97686's current source achieves a typical current matching of ±1%, while dynamic maintenance requires the minimum necessary for VOUT regulation. This compensates for the non-uniformity adaptive planning of the forward voltage variation of the LED string. ISL97686 dimming can independently channel control the dynamic dimming function of the synthesizer chip at 10-bit resolution, controlled through a high-speed SPI interface. The ISL97686's advanced headroom function monitors the forward voltage of the highest LED string and adjusts the output to the correct level to minimize power loss. This proprietary remediation scheme also allows PWM dimming from 0.02% to 100% to be very linear. It is also possible to switch LED currents between current levels, giving support to 3D applications. The ISL97686 uses open and short circuit detection, overvoltage protection, and extensive OTP protection.TW9912
