ISL97686 is a PWM-controlled LED driver that supports 4 channels of LED current, display, and LCD TV backlight applications. It is capable of propelling up to 75V absolute maximum current source from 1 9V to 32V per channel at 160 mA. The ISL97686 of the current source achieves a typical current matching of ±1%, while dynamic maintenance requires the minimum required for VOUT regulation. This compensates for the non-uniformity adaptive plan of the forward voltage variation of the LED string. ISL97686 dimming can independently control the dynamic dimming function of the synthetic chip at 10-bit resolution, controlled through a high-speed SPI interface. ISL97686 advanced headroom control to monitor the forward voltage of the highest LED string and regulate the output to the correct level to minimize power loss. This proprietary remediation scheme also allows for very linear PWM dimming from 0.02% to 100%. It is also possible to switch between the current level of LED current, giving support to 3D applications. ISL97686 uses serial open circuit and short-circuit detection, overvoltage protection, and OTP for extensive protection. TW9912
