ISLA224S is a series of low-power, high-performance, dual-channel 14-bit analog-to-digital converters. A standard CMOS process design with FemtoCharge™ technology, the series supports sample rates up to 250MSPS. ISLA224S is a 12-pin compatible home-14-bit dual-channel A/D maximum sampling rate from 125MSPS, 250MSPS and the stock ADC Intersil is a testament to the ISLA224P series of analog cores. The home offers state-of-the-art power performance while minimizing power consumption, providing an optimal trade-off between performance and power. What distinguishes ISLA224P ISLA224S is its highly configurable, JESD204B-compatible, high-speed serial output link. Links provide data transfer rates of up to 4.375Gbps per lane and multiple packaging methods. It can be configured to use two or three channels of conversion data transmission, allowing for flexibility in receiver design. SERDES transmitters also offer deterministic latency and multi-chip time alignment support to meet the complex synchronization requirements of applications. A port for a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) allows for extensive configurability of the JESD204B transmitter, including its built-in access link and transport layer test modes. The SPI port also offers numerous additional features, including two ADC cores for fine gain and offset adjustment and programmable clock crossover control to enable 2X and 4X harmonic clocking.
