In ISO1050 is an electrically isolated CAN transceiver that meets or exceeds the specifications of the ISO 11898 standard. The device features logic input and output buffer packs separated by silica (SiO2) insulation barriers, providing currents up to 5000 V RMS in packages of 2500 V RMS and dubbing of derivative warrants. Used in conjunction with an isolated power supply, this product can prevent current in noise-sensitive circuits that interfere with or destroy other circuits on the data bus or into local grounding.

As a CAN transceiver, the device provides differential transmitting capability, bus and differential receive signal transmission rates up to megabits per second (Mbps) CAN controllers.
