The LM101A is a general-purpose operational amplifier that features the LM709, as the industry standard, for improved performance. Advanced processing techniques reduce the amplitude of the input current, and a redesigned bias circuit reduces the temperature drift of the input current. Improved specifications include:

  • The offset voltage temperature exceeds 3 mV maximum
  • Maximum overtemperature of input current 100 nA
  • The bias current is 20 nA with temperature
  • Guaranteed drift characteristics
  • Guaranteed offset over the entire common-mode and supply voltage range
  • As a summation amplifier, the 10V/μs slew rate amplifier offers many features that make its application almost foolproof: input and output, common-mode range without latch-up over overload protection, and free oscillation from a 30 pF capacitor with a compensation order. It has advantages over internally compensated amplifiers with frequency compensation that can be applied according to specific applications. For example, in low-frequency circuits, it can add stability margin. Or it can be optimally compensated for the top ten factors that improve high-frequency performance in most applications. In addition, the device provides better accuracy and lower noise in high-impedance circuits. The low input current also makes it particularly suitable for integrated or long-interval timers, sample-and-hold circuits, and low-frequency waveform generators. In addition, replacing the matching transistor with the input snubber circuit of the conventional IC op amp can give low offset voltage with lower cost and drift.
