The LM13700 series consists of two current-controlled transimpedance amplifiers with each push-pull output of the differential input. Both amplifiers have common supplies, but otherwise, operate independently. Linearization diodes provide input to reduce distortion and allow for higher input levels. The result is a 10 dB signal-noise improvement to 0.5% THD as a reference. High impedance buffers are specifically designed to match the dynamic range of the amplifier. The output buffer of the LM13700 differs from that of the LM13600, whose input bias current (and therefore its output DC level) is independent of the ABC. This may result in superior performance LM13600 audio applications.
