The LM13700 series consists of two current-controlled transconducting amplifiers with differential inputs for each push-pull output. The two amplifiers are common supplies, but otherwise operate independently. The input provided by the linearization diode reduces distortion and allows for higher input levels. The result is a 10 dB signal - reference to a THD with a noise improvement of 0.5%. High-impedance buffers are specifically designed to match the dynamic range of the amplifier. The output buffer of LM13700 is different LM13600, and its input bias current (so its output DC level) is independent. This can lead to superior performance LM13600 audio applications.
