The LM22673 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that are buck (buck) switching regulators capable of driving loads up to 3A with excellent line and load regulation characteristics. The high efficiency (> 90%) is achieved by using a low-resistance N-channel MOSFET. The series consists of a fixed 5V output and an adjustable version.

SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The concept offers an easy-to-use complete design using a minimum number of external components and WEBENCH for national semiconductors ® Design tools. WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Tools include features such as external component calculations, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and simple design, construction, and other boards. The switching clock frequency is made by an internal fixed-frequency oscillator, which is 500 kHz. LM22673 series also features built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting. The current limit threshold can be adjusted using an external resistor. An adjustable soft-start function is by selecting the appropriate external soft-start capacitor.
