The LM22673 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that are buck (buck) switching regulators capable of driving loads up to 3A with excellent line and load regulation characteristics. High efficiency (> 90%) is achieved by using a low resistance N-channel MOSFET. The series consists of a fixed 5V output and adjustable version.

SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The concept provides an easy-to-use complete design using a minimum number of external components and the WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Design tools. WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Tools include features such as external component calculations, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and simple design, build, and board of it. The switching clock frequency is made up of an internal fixed frequency oscillator, which is at 500 kHz. The LM22673 series also has built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting. An external resistor can be used to adjust the current limit threshold. An adjustable soft-start function is achieved by selecting the appropriate external soft-start capacitor.
