The LM22679 Series regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that provide step-down switching regulators capable of driving excellent line and load regulation characteristics for 5A loads (buck) with all the positive features. The high efficiency (> 90%) is achieved by using a low-resistance N-channel MOSFET. The series consists of a fixed 5V output and an adjustable version.

SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The concept offers an easy-to-use complete design using a minimum number of external components and WEBENCH for national semiconductors ® Design tools. WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Tools include features such as external component calculations, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and simple design, construction, and other boards. The switching clock frequency is made by an internal fixed-frequency oscillator, which is 500 kHz. LM22679 series also features built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting. The current limit threshold can be adjusted using an external resistor. An adjustable soft-start function is by selecting the appropriate external soft-start capacitor.
