LM25007 is a single-chip buck switching regulator with all the features required for low implementation cost, high efficiency, and power supply. With the ability to drive a 0.5Amp load over an input voltage range of 9V - 42V, this device is easy to apply and is available in a small MSOP-8 and thermally enhanced LLC-8 package. The ultra-fast transient response is to advance the feed through a fixed time architecture with an input voltage. This feature provides an almost constant operating frequency for overload and variation of input voltage. Its operating frequency can be adjusted by one resistor. This architecture is easy to use and tolerant of component selection. A clever current limit is LM25007 output voltage that is inversely proportional to the implementation of a forced shutdown time, thus ensuring recovery from a fault state. The output voltage can be set from 2.5V to > 30V. To improve efficiency in light-load applications, the Vcc pin can be connected to an external voltage source, eliminating drop through internal regulation. Other features include VCC undervoltage lockout on thermal shutdown, gate-driven undervoltage lockout, and maximum duty cycle limiter.
