The LM25116 is a synchronous buck controller from a high voltage buck regulator that is widely used in different input power supplies or intended. The control method is based on the current mode, using an analog current ramp control. Current mode control provides inherent line feedforward to periodic current limiting and loop compensation for easy cycling. An analog ramp uses a noise-reduced pulse width modulation circuit to reduce the sensitivity of the circuitry, allowing for very small duty cycles and reliable control necessary for high input voltage applications. Programmable operating frequency from 50kHz to 1MHz. LM25116 the driver's external high-side and low-side NMOS power switches with adaptive dead-time control. User-selectable diode emulation modes can be used under light load conditions for improved efficiency discontinuous mode operation. Low quiescent current shutdown controller and disable consumption of less than 10μA total input current. Other features include a high-voltage bias regulator with automatic switching to external bias for improved efficiency, thermal shutdown, frequency synchronization, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and adjustable input undervoltage lockout.
