The LM25575 is an easy-to-use SIMPLE SWITCHER ® buck regulator that allows design engineers to design and optimize a minimal set of power usage components. Operating over a 6 input voltage range - 42V, it provides a continuous output of 1.5A of LM25575 with an integrated 330mΩN channel MOSFET. The regulator features an analog current-mode architecture that provides inherent line adjustment, precise load transient response, and loop compensation to mitigate the limitations typically associated with the low duty cycles associated with current-mode regulators. The operating frequency is adjustable from 50kHz to 1MHz, allowing for optimization of size and efficiency. To reduce electromagnetic interference, the frequency synchronization pin allows multiple ICs to self-synchronize or synchronize from the Long March (2) 557x series to an external clock. Robustness LM25575 guaranteed with cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown and remote shutdown. The device is available in an enhanced TSSOP-16 package with an exposed chip heatsink connection to the power supply. The LM25575 is a complete suite of WEBENCH online design tools that are supported.
