The LM26400Y is a monolithic, dual output PWM step-down DC/DC in a 16-pin LLP package or thermally enhanced ETSSOP regulated fixed frequency. With a minimum number of external components and internal loop compensation, the LM26400Y is easy to use. Capable of driving an internal 175mΩNMOS 2A load switch using high power density design as a result of state-of-the-art 0.5 micron BiCMOS technology. World-class control circuitry allows a low on-time of up to 40 nanoseconds, allowing high conversion over an input range of only 0.6V over the input range of 3V to 20V. The LM26400Y features peak current-mode control and internal compensation for extensive high-performance regulation of line and load conditions. The switching frequency is internally set to 500kHz, which is optimal for a wide range of applications in terms of scale and thermal trade-offs. Given an asynchronous architecture, efficiencies of more than 90% are easy to achieve. External shutdown is included, enabling independent turn-on and turn-off of the two channels. Other features include programmable soft-start circuitry to reduce inrush current, pulse pass-pulse current limiting and frequency foldback, integrated bootstrap mechanism and thermal shutdown.
