illustrate
The LM2575 Series Step-Down Switching Regulator (Buck) drives a monolithic IC with excellent line and load regulation with a 1A load capacity that provides all active functions. These devices are available in fixed output voltages at 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V and adjustable output versions.
Requiring a minimum number of external components, these regulators are simple to use, including internal frequency compensation and fixed frequency oscillators.
The LM2575 series offers a popular 3-terminal linear regulator replacement high efficiency. It greatly reduces the size of the heatsink and, in many cases, the absence of a heatsink is necessary.
Inductors using the LM2575 can be optimized from a series of standards produced by several different manufacturers. This feature greatly simplifies the design of switching power supplies.
Other features include guaranteeing that the ± output voltage is 4% tolerance at the specified input voltage and output load conditions, and the frequency of the oscillator is ± 10%. External shutdown with 50μA (typical) standby current. The output switch includes cycle-by-cycle current limit and adequate protection from thermal shutdown during fault conditions.
