illustrate
The LM2575 monolithic integrated circuit provides all buck-active (buck-boost) switching regulators to drive an excellent line and load regulation 1A load capacity. These devices are available in 3.3V and 5V and 12V fixed output voltages, 15V, and adjustable output versions.
Requiring a minimum number of external components, these regulators are simple to use, with built-in frequency compensation and a fixed frequency oscillator.
The LM2575 series offers a high-efficiency alternative to the popular three-terminal linear regulator. It greatly reduces the size of the heatsink, and in many cases, the absence of a heatsink is necessary.
The future LM2575 inductor series standard optimized for use can be obtained from several different manufacturers. This feature greatly simplifies the design of switching power supplies.
Other features include ± guaranteed voltage tolerance of 4% and ± oscillator frequency of 10% under specified output input voltage and output load conditions. External shutdown is included and has a standby current of 50μA (typical). The output switches include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, as well as adequate protection for thermal shutdown in fault conditions.
