LM26003 standby mode designed to meet the high efficiency requirements of an application that switches on and off regulators. The device features a low-current sleep mode that maintains light load conditions and a precisely regulated efficiency over a wide input voltage range. Quiescent current reduced to 10.8μA in typical shutdown mode and less than 40μA in sleep mode. Forced PWM mode can also disable sleep mode.

LM26003 can provide up to 3A of continuous load current with a fixed current limit via an internal N-channel switch. Some have a wide input voltage range of 4.0V to 38V and can operate during low-line transients with an input voltage of 3V.

The operating frequency is regulated from a resistor from 150 kHz to 500 kHz and can be synchronized to an external clock.

Other features include a good power supply, adjustable soft-start, enable pins, input undervoltage protection, and an internal bootstrap diode that reduces the number of components.
