The LM26400Y is a monolithic, dual-output converter available in a 16-pin LLP package or thermally enhanced ETSSOP fixed-frequency PWM step-down DC/DC regulator. With a minimum number of external components and internal loop compensation, the LM26400Y is easy to use. Capable of driving advanced equipment with high power density design with internal 175mΩnmos switches, state-of-the-art 0.5 micron BiCMOS technology achieves 2A loads. World-class control circuitry allows a low 40-nanosecond time, allowing high frequencies beyond the entire input range of 3V to 20V to an output voltage of only 0.6V. The LM26400Y is highly stable over line and load conditions using peak current-mode control and internal compensation. The switching frequency is internally set to 500kHz, which is the optimal compromise between size and thermal conditions in a wide range of applications. Given an asynchronous architecture, efficiencies above 90% are easily achievable. External shutdown is included, enabling independent opening and closing of the two channels. Other features include programmable soft-start circuitry to reduce inrush current, pulse pass-pulse current limiting and frequency foldback, integrated bootstrap mechanism and thermal shutdown.
