The LM2660/LM2661's CMOS charge-pump voltage converters reverse one to positively negative voltage over the 1.5V to 5.5V voltage range. The LM2660/LM2661 use two low-cost capacitors to provide a no-cost, 100 mA size output current, inductor and EMI-related converter. With an operating current of only 120μA and a maximum load operating efficiency greater than 90%, the LM2660/LM2661 is ideal for battery-powered systems. The LM2660/LM2661 can also be used as positive voltage multiples.

The oscillator frequency can be reduced by adding an external capacitor to the oscillation pin. In addition, the OSC pin can be used to drive an external clock LM2660/LM2661. For the LM2660, a frequency control (FC) pin is selected as the frequency of the 10 kHz or 80 kHz oscillator. For the LM2661, the external shutdown (standard deviation) pin function sector is superseded. The SD pin can be used to disable the device, reducing the quiescent current to 0.5μA. The oscillation frequency for LM2661 is 80 kHz.
