The LM2660/LM2661 CMOS charge pump voltage converters reverse the positive voltage of the corresponding negative voltage in the range of 1.5V to 5.5V. The LM2660/LM2661 use two low-cost capacitors to provide no cost, size, and output current with an inductor-based converter, EMI 100. With operating currents of only 120μA and maximum load operating efficiencies greater than 90%, the LM2660/LM2661 provide ideal performance for battery-powered systems. The LM2660/LM2661 can also be used as a positive voltage multiplier.

The frequency of the oscillator can be reduced by adding an external capacitor to the OSC pin. In addition, the OSC pin can be used to drive an external clock LM2660/LM2661. For the LM2660, a frequency control (FC) pin selects the frequency of the 10 kHz or 80 kHz oscillator. For the LM2661, the external shutdown (SD) pin replaces the FC pin. The SD pin can be used to shut down the device and reduce quiescent current by 0.5μA. The oscillation frequency for LM2661 is 80 kHz.
