The series of regulators LM2673 provides a monolithic step-down switching regulator drive with excellent line and load regulation characteristics of 3A load capacity (buck) activity of all functions. High efficiency (> 90%) to obtain passing through the on-resistor DMOS power switch is low in use. The series includes 3.3V, 5V, and 12V fixed output voltage and adjustable output versions.

The concept in SIMPLE SWITCHER provides a complete design with a minimum number of external components. High fixed frequency oscillators (260KHz) allow for smaller size components. A standard inductor with LM2673 home is supplied from several manufacturers, greatly simplifying the design process.

Other features include the ability to reduce, increase soft-start timing capacitance, and gradually turn on the current when the regulator's input surge is powered up. The LM2673 series also features a built-in thermal shutdown and resistor-programmable power MOSFET switch to protect the current limit of the device and load circuitry in the event of a fault. The output voltage is guaranteed to have an error of ± 2%. The clock frequency is controlled to a tolerance of ± 11%.
