illustrate
The LM2727 and LM2737 high-speed, synchronous switching regulator controllers. Their purpose is to control the current from 0.7A to 20A with conversion efficiency up to 95%. The LM2727 features output overvoltage and undervoltage latching. Lock out unwanted applications that can be used with LM2737. Power and power off sequencing are good signs of implementation with power supply, adjustable soft start and output enable functions. The LM2737 and LM2737 operate from a low-current 5V bias that converts from a 2.2V to 16V supply rail. Both devices feature a fixed frequency, voltage mode, PWM control architecture, and switching frequency adjustable from 50kHz to 2MHz by adjusting external resistance values. Current limiting is a low-side MOSFET that monitors the voltage on-resistance at both ends, resulting in improved low duty cycle operating drops. The wide operating frequency range gives power supply designers the flexibility to fine-tune component size, cost, noise, and efficiency. Adaptive non-overlapping MOSFET gate drivers and high-side guide structures help further maximize efficiency. The drain voltage of the high-side power FETs can be from 2.2V to 16V, and the output voltage can be adjusted as low as 0.6V.
