The LM2733 switching regulator is a current-mode boost converter operating at fixed frequencies of 1.6 MHz ("X" option) and 600 kHz ("Y" option).

With the use of the SOT-23 package, it is possible to minimize power loss in internal 1A switches, as well as small inductors and capacitors, achieving the highest power density performance in the industry. With 40V internal switching, these solutions are perfect for raising voltages to 16V or higher.

These components have a logic level turn-off pin that can reduce quiescent current and extend battery life.

Protection is through cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. Internal compensation simplifies the design and reduces the number of components.
