The LM2735 is an easy-to-use, space-saving 2.1A low-side switching regulator ideal for boost and SEPIC DC-DC regulation. It offers all the positive features, providing local DC/DC fast transient response and minimal PCB area for precisely regulated conversion. The switching frequency is set internally at 520kHz or 1.6MHz, allowing for the use of small surface-mount pole inductors and capacitors while providing efficiencies of up to 90%. Current mode control and internal compensation provide easy-to-use, minimal component counts in a wide range of operating conditions and high performance regulation. Ideal current for portable applications with ultra-low standby of 80 nA with external shutdown function. Small SOT23-5, LLC-6 and eMSOP-8 packages provide space savings. Other features include internal soft-start, circuitry to reduce inrush current, pulse through pulse current limiting and thermal shutdown.
