illustrate
The LM2734 regulator is a monolithic, high-frequency, PWM step-down DC/DC converter in a 6-pin low-profile SOT23 package. It offers all the positive features, providing fast transient response and minimal PCB area to precisely regulate local DC/DC conversion.
With external components, and via WEBENCH ® online design support is minimal ™ LM2734 is easy to use. Capable of driving an internal 300mΩNMOS 1A load switch using advanced equipment, the most advanced 0.5 μm BiCMOS process for optimal power density in existing technical achievements. The world-class control circuitry allows for low on-time times of up to 13ns, thus supporting very high output voltages down to a minimum of 0.8V over the entire conversion 3V to 20V input operating voltage range. The switching frequency is set internally to 550kHz (LM2734Y) or 1.6MHz (LM2734X), allowing the use of very small surface-mount inductors and chip capacitors. Even at very high operating frequencies, efficiencies of up to 90% are easy to achieve. External shutdown is included and has an ultra-low standby current of 30nA. The LM2734 adopts functions such as current mode control and internal compensation, and has a wide range of operating conditions with high stability. Other features include internal soft-start circuitry to reduce inrush current, pulse through pulse current limiting, thermal shutdown, and overvoltage protection output.
