illustrate
The LM2743 is a high speed synchronous step-down controller with an accurate feedback voltage accuracy of ± 2% regulator. It provides simple downconversion output voltages as low as 0.6V. Although the control section of the IC is rated for 3 to 6V, the driver section is designed to accept input supply voltages up to 16V high. The use of adaptive non-overlapping MOSFET gate drivers helps avoid potential problems by shooting while maintaining high efficiency. The IC is a more cost-effective option designed to drive only N-channel MOSFETs in both high-side and low-side positions. Its senses provide a simple, adjustable current to limit the low-side switching voltage drop.
The fixed frequency voltage mode PWM control architecture adjusts an external resistor from 50 kHz to 1 MHz. This wide range of switching frequencies gives flexibility in power supply design, allowing for better trade-offs in size, cost, and benefit between components.
Features include soft-start, input undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and power good (based on two low-voltage and overvoltage detections). In addition, the IC's shutdown pin can be used to provide a start-up delay, while the soft-start pin can be used for accurate tracking with respect to external rail sequencing.
